🆕 Today we launch the first 🎬 in a new series focusing on the impact of our agreements. We've been working with Wondfo and the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. since 2022 to bring more HIV self-tests to people who need them. Our volume guarantee enabled Wondfo to make their tests available at $1 each - a more affordable price for procurers. Through being able to purchase more tests, 482,000 people have now tested for HIV and 7,800 people have started treatment after receiving a diagnosis. Learn more about the public health and market challenges and how our agreement is contributing towards global HIV testing targets.

🆕 Today we are launching our 2024 Impact Case Studies. The case studies go behind the headline impact to look at the public health and market challenges we sought to address and how we helped bring the benefits of remarkable scientific progress to more people more quickly. For example, since 2017, MedAccess-supported products have led to: 🔹 20,300 malaria relapses being averted due to G6PD tests enabling better malaria treatment 🔹 39,500 stillbirths being averted due to better access to dual HIV/syphilis tests 🔹 482,000 additional people testing for HIV because they had access to a self-test Read the impact case studies: https://lnkd.in/gBrz6Gn5

Less than half of the new antibiotics approved between 1999 and 2014 were registered in more than ten countries. And, only four of the 40 new antibiotics approved since 2000 are labelled for paediatric use. Infants in low- and middle-income countries routinely miss out on access to lifesaving antibiotics.
