Prostate cancer treatment depends on how early it's caught. Options range from just keeping an eye on things to surgery, radiation, or hormone therapy. The earlier you catch it, the more choices you have—and often, the less intense the treatment. If you're over 50 or have a family history, now's the time to talk to your doctor about getting tested. Early detection can give you more options and lead to better outcomes. Don't wait! Fast access to excellent NHS healthcare is possible for every single one of us.
About us
We invent elegant solutions that create new capacity and promote patient choice. We know the NHS is the beating heart of our country. It only works because of the hard work of so many people. From nurses on the front line to specialist doctors and managers, everyone helps to keep things running. However, because the NHS is so big and so busy, even the best workers can have a hard time providing top care all the time. We have made a solution we call "elegant simplicity." Our inventive outpatients service makes it easier for patients to go from seeing their GP to getting better. It also helps GPs, Trusts, and the whole NHS by creating more space for care when it's needed. Our service helps connect patients with NHS consultants, making it easier to handle changes in demand. We believe in giving patients more choices and quick access to great healthcare. That's our promise to our patients and stakeholders.

Prostate cancer testing involves more than just a PSA test. If your PSA is positive, your doctor may advise on an MRI to provide a clearer picture. If you're over 50 or at higher risk (such as Black men or those with a family history of prostate cancer), it's important to explore your testing options. Early detection through advanced methods like MRI can significantly improve treatment outcomes. Don't wait for symptoms—talk to your doctor about getting tested. Taking action now could make all the difference. #Cancer #CancerAwareness #ProstateCancer #MensHealth #NHS #PublicHealth #Movember Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance Health Innovation Kent Surrey Sussex

Prostate cancer often goes unnoticed until it's advanced. The TPHC programme relied on PSA testing to identify at-risk men before it was too late. We hope you grew an incredible moustache this Movember. Let's also grow the conversation around early testing. Encourage the men in your life to be proactive with their health—it's a small step that could make a huge difference. After all, a moustache can be a great conversation starter about more than just facial hair! 95% of patients rated their experience with the TPHC programme as 'Good' or 'Excellent,' with many calling it "Fast and easy," "Professional," "Efficient," "Reassuring," and "Informative." Given how hesitant some men are to attend prostate health checks, it's amazing to see how positive experiences can make such a difference. When healthcare is simple, supportive, and easy to access, it builds trust and motivates more people to take action. Quality care really does matter! Should the UK introduce a national prostate cancer screening programme? Early detection is key, yet there's no widespread screening for prostate cancer. Our Targeted Prostate Health Check (TPHC) programme successfully identified 263 cases early, proving the vital importance of early testing. Let's keep the conversation going about early detection! #Cancer #CancerAwareness #ProstateCancer #MensHealth #NHS #PublicHealth #Movember Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance Health Innovation Kent Surrey Sussex

During the TPHC programme, just 28% of patients had a good understanding of prostate cancer in our pre-service survey. After watching an informational video, that number shot up to 65%—a huge 37% increase! Patient education is a powerful tool for raising awareness and encouraging early detection. When people understand the risks, they're more likely to take action. Let's keep the conversation going and ensure more men get the information they need about prostate cancer. Prostate cancer risk factors are often overlooked – that needs to change! One GP who participated in our Targeted Prostate Health Check (TPHC) programme highlighted the value of recognising key risks: "There are critical factors GPs need to focus on—obesity, Black and African Caribbean men, and family history. These are three key risks." Did you know that Black men are at a much higher risk of prostate cancer, with 1 in 4 being diagnosed in their lifetime? That's why early detection is so important, especially for those with known risk factors. We need to raise awareness about these risks and encourage men to get checked. Let's keep the conversation going and promote proactive health checks—early detection can make all the difference. Every year, 55,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer, and sadly, 10,000 of those diagnoses come too late for a cure. Our Targeted Prostate Health Check (TPHC) programme has shown that early detection can catch prostate cancer even in men with no symptoms. If you or your loved ones are at risk, getting tested could make all the difference. Early detection provides more options and can save lives. Prostate cancer is treatable, especially when caught early. However, many men aren't sure what signs to watch out for. Raising awareness about the symptoms can help more men get checked in time.
