About us
We are Media Bounty, an independent ethical, creative and media agency. We believe in the long-term growth of our people, our clients, and protecting the world for future generations. Together, these three things (people, planet, purpose) make us more than just a creative and media agency. We are an agency that gives a shit. Yes, about the work, but also about the humans that work with us and in the industry – their lives, their families and their mental health. We believe that business and brands do not live in a vacuum but can make a massive contribution to society. We strongly believe in the importance of a work-life balance, which is why we're genuine advocates of flexible working. Working from home is also an established part of our culture. Our staff have up to five days of supplementary paid holiday leave to use for voluntary work in the community as part of their employment contract. To date, our employees have taken part in a broad range of activities including listening to local children read in schools; supporting youth groups with mentoring and summer camps; cooking and serving meals in shelters for the homeless; gardening for an urban bee project; building an artificial reef in Thailand and supporting the elderly LGBTQ+ community. In the ten years since we were founded, we have supported our charity partner, World Land Trust, an international conservation charity protecting critically threatened habitat, acre by acre. To date, we have donated almost £55,000 and saved critically threatened habitat that’s equivalent to the size of Monaco. We also co-founded the Conscious Advertising Network (CAN), which aims to ensure industry ethics catch up with the technology of modern advertising by eradicating ad fraud, producing diverse content, ensuring brands are not funding hate speech or deliberately misleading ‘fake news’.

Drum roll, please… Delighted to see our ‘We’re Losing More than Money’ campaign with Men’s Minds Matter pick up bronze at last night’s The Drum Social Purpose Awards, in the Charity / Not for Profit category. The campaign raised awareness of the link between gambling addiction and suicide. It’s a problem that’s on the up - but organisations like Men’s Minds Matter are working to create change. Big thanks again to UNCLE for helping to bring the idea to life. Head to the link in the comments to watch the case study 👇

Bad news: advertising has been successful in spreading anti-climate narratives. Good news: it can work for pro-climate messages, too. This was the topic of our project, ACT Climate Labs' latest webinar. Get the expert view on how NGOs and brands alike can use advertising to cut through in the age of information overload, here: https://lnkd.in/eDAnqEQW #ACTClimateLabs #greenwashing #advertising

Today, Clean Creatives dropped their annual F List - exposing the advertising agencies working with fossil fuel companies. We're (obviously) not on it. Fossil fuel greenwash has delayed vital climate action for decades. It has to stop - and we can all be a part of the solution. Head to Clean Creatives to find out how. #flist #greenwash #fossilfuels
🚨The 2024 F-List is here, highlighting an expanded list of Advertising and PR agencies that continue to profit from fossil fuel clients while ignoring our ominous climate emergency. 🔗 in bio. 🟢 Why the F-List Matters 🟢 According to UN Secretary-General António Guterres, fossil fuel companies are "enablers to planetary destruction." That warning is yet another reminder of why it’s important to shine a light on the network of enablers that help greenwash their destruction, which is why we continue to push forward with our mission. 🔥Highlights of our 2024 research found: ✔️1,010 fossil fuel contracts across 590 Ad & PR agencies, based on over 30 new sources of data. ✔️ WPP tops the F-List with 79 fossil fuel contracts. They claim they don't take on work "designed to frustrate the Paris Agreement," yet their client list tells a different story. ✔️Ogilvy and McCann Worldgroup hold 15 contracts each - more than any other agencies. ✔️Fossil fuel giants like Shell and bp have the most contracts with ad agencies worldwide. ✔️dentsu, once a sustainability role model, is now caught in an ironic twist. They're working with Chevron, Shell, and PETRONAS while promoting anti-pollution campaigns. ✔️Edelman, one of the world's largest PR firms, has long been in bed with fossil fuels, and continues to do so. For context, 2024 is officially the hottest year on record. The fossil fuel industry is doubling down with lobbying, legal threats, and greenwashing, all while upping production of the very thing they’ve promise to “decrease” – fossil fuel production – right in front of our eyes. This narrative doesn’t happen on it’s own. Agencies can no longer hide behind vague sustainability statements. The F-List exists to hold them accountable. It's time to take real action.
