You're looking at one of an order for 43 Volvo B13R 9700 double-deck coaches which began entering service in Scotland over recent months, to operate megabus (UK) and Scottish Citylink Coaches services.🚍 First launched in Europe in 2020, these models feature an integral body, built by Finnish coachbuilder Carrus Delta, and are equipped with the fuel-efficient Euro 6 Volvo D13K engine, delivering up to 500hp - ensuring the coach can effortlessly tackle steep climbs while minimising its environmental impact for passengers and the local areas it operates in. Scottish Citylink Managing Director, Simone Walsh says: “This order is another testament to the strong relationship we continue to build with Volvo Buses. With 2024 coming to an end, we’re reflecting at what a year it has been. It’s not always been easy and there have been some struggles – but we made it through! We turned 21 years old and celebrated at Freshers Fairs up and down the country! It was great meeting so many mega-customers and seeing you rock your megabus merch! One of the biggest changes we made was reducing our network and moving the focus to bettering our cross border, internal Scotland and Falcon services.
