We’re proud to support the #Pledge2Check campaign and raise awareness about the importance of early skin cancer detection. For many golfers, time on the course means prolonged sun exposure, which comes with risks that shouldn’t be overlooked. Skin cancer remains one of the most prevalent forms of cancer, and early detection can be life-saving. That’s why the #Pledge2Check campaign by Melanoma Fund is so crucial. By joining this initiative, golfers and their communities commit to promoting and prioritising skin health. A simple 30-minute skin check can make a significant difference in catching skin cancer early - when it’s most treatable. We're encouraging golfers to sign up for #Pledge2Check by November 24th. Over the next six months, this dedicated campaign will bring attention to the importance of regular skin checks and provide resources for education and action. Mr Jaffe is a Senior Consultant and Plastic Surgeon at the University Hospital of North Midlands, has led the Specialist Skin Cancer MDT and chaired the Skin Cancer Expert Advisory Group for the West Midlands. As a passionate endurance athlete, he understands the UV risks faced by athletes and outdoor enthusiasts, and we’re thrilled to have his knowledge and dedication to preventing skin cancer as we continue our mission as the authoritative voice on sun protection in sports and outdoor recreation.
