This week, members of the Menzies team joined more than 40 other major employers at a job fair for refugees co-organised by Indeed and Tent Partnership for Refugees UK, in collaboration with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). 🤝 Events such as this are a fantastic opportunity to connect with talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, while ensuring hundreds of refugee candidates have the opportunity to speak with employers about a wide range of jobs in a variety of sectors. Refugees bring unique skills, resilience, and diverse perspectives that can drive innovation and growth in any business. 👋 Say hello and congratulations to Nouamane Zahouani, who has recently been promoted to Vice President, Central & East Africa. In his new role, Nouamane oversees ground handing and cargo operations across the region. “I’m responsible for ensuring that we deliver efficient, safe, secure and seamless services to our airline customers while driving strategic business growth in this dynamic part of Africa,” Nouamane explains. 🌍 📜 Since joining Menzies, Nouamane is particularly proud to have played a key role in securing the prestigious International Air Transport Association (IATA) CEIV Pharma accreditation for our recently expanded facility in Nairobi, Kenya (NBO). “I’m very proud that NBO became the first location in the MEAA region to receive this recognition,” Nouamane says. “The project had a hugely positive impact on our operations and personally taught me so much.” ⭐ As a leader, one of Nouamane’s key priorities is to help his team members grow, develop and reach their full potential. “There’s a unique pride in watching people in your team build their skills, resilience, gain confidence, and become the new generation of leaders at Menzies,” Nouamane reflects. 💙 Congratulations Nouamane on your new role, and thank you for your dedication and service. #MenziesAviation #PeoplePassionPride #MyMenzies

👋 Say hello to Mazen Qursha, General Manager for our Middle East, Africa and Asia (MEAA) operations.    🌏 In his wide-ranging role, Mazen is responsible for supporting our operations right across the MEAA region. He oversees operational standards, and plays a major role in business planning and facilitating start-ups at new locations. “My role is broad, varied and certainly never boring,” Mazen comments.    Mazen points to one particularly challenging – but ultimately successful – period of expansion as a particular career highlight. After Qatar Airways appointed Menzies to deliver ground handling services at six airports across three African countries, it was up to Mazen and his team to commence operations. “We successfully commenced operations at all six locations within three weeks; I was incredibly proud of our team effort.” ✅   ⛳ Away from work, Mazen enjoys spending time with his family, swimming, golfing, and travelling. “Downtime is very important. This week, Global HR leaders from across our business had the privilege of volunteering with Just a Change and CERCITOP,CRL in Lisbon, where they rolled up their sleeves to help renovate a residential facility for young people with disabilities. 🛠️💪 An inspiring day filled with team work, collaboration and energy, our team worked hard to renovate the recreational room of CERCITOP’s residential facility, transforming it into a welcoming and vibrant space for its residents. Thanks to the Menzies volunteers for their hard work creating an environment where these young individuals can thrive, feel supported, and know they’re part of a caring community. 💙 Our thanks also go out to the wonderful teams at Just a Change and CERCITOP for their hard work and dedication. Thanks to the Menzies-RAS team for their ongoing work to support Sweet Home in Pakistan, an orphanage that provides care, education and healthcare for local children. 💙 ✍ Our team in Pakistan recently donated stationery and school supplies to the home, with over 200 children able to make use of this equipment.
