Today is a very exciting day for us at Message Heard and is the culmination of a few years hard work for the team. 'Umbrella strand' is a term you will hear more and more of in the world of Podcasting where you group together relevant stories that are ideally repeatable under one banner and feed, and thats what we've done with - 'Finding' 'Finding' is a simple mission really and one we started by accident. Look what we managed to do for my Mum and my family with 'Finding Natasha'? Well imagine if we could also do that for others..? Well that's exactly what we are intending to do more of with 'Finding', and 'Finding Andy' is our first attempt at that, but don't take my word for it. Listen to the entire season now, wherever you get your podcasts! (link in comments below) Also a huge thank you to for the support and belief in this show by our friends and partners at Wondery (Thank you Michelle Martin, Tom Raffe + the wider team)

I am incredibly grateful to see the latest episode of #TrueCrimeReports go live on 'The Dark Side Of Conservation' for Al Jazeera Media Network The story is a hugely important one, and I have personally been seeking for the right platform to try and tell it for almost a decade... The team did an incredible job! How far will Western powers go for conservation? In 2015, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, guards shot and killed an Indigenous boy searching for herbs with his father. This tragedy spotlights the violence faced by Indigenous communities from international conservation efforts. Is human life the cost of wildlife protection? cc Message Heard

  • New release alert!🚨 Introducing, (In)Justice: Killer Privilege, a new podcast brought to you by Message Heard & The London Standard. 🎧 In December 2014, Katja Faber received the news every parent fears most. Her son Alex, 23, had been killed. Chilling details emerged in the months that followed: her son’s killer had been his university friend Bennet – the son of an ultra-rich art dealer – who had brutally beaten Alex before murdering him. The killing took place on Zurich’s Gold Coast – a place of extraordinary privilege, just like the killer’s upbringing. But even more extraordinary are some of the revelations that have since surfaced about Bennet, his history, and the cat-and-mouse game he continues to play with the authorities to this day. ⚖️ Listen to Killer Privilege exclusively and ad-free on Wondery+. • In our next episode of, Our World, Connected, brought to you by British Council, we explore the concept of soft power—what it is, how it differs from hard power, and why it’s crucial in today’s interconnected yet fractured world. 🌍 From the staggering reach of K-pop to the global legacy of the Olympics, soft power shapes perceptions, builds trust, and strengthens both high level international relationships, as well as everyday community interactions. Host Christine Wilson talks with Professor J.P. Singh, a specialist in international diplomacy, trade, and cultural influence from George Mason University. They discuss how nations use soft power – influencing others through attraction and reciprocity rather than force – and how this approach is changing global politics. ⚖️ The episode also features Bill Morris, an expert in international events and a former director for the 2012 London Olympics. Morris offers his perspective on how major events can strengthen national identity, build community, and foster understanding between different cultures. 🤝 Listen now on all major streaming platforms, link below! 🔗
