  • As we approach the festive period and toast a successful 2025, it is fitting that the latest project we will showcase is the new Domaine Evremond winery in Chilham. Specialising in English Sparkling Wine with an affiliation to Taittinger, the winery is situated within a stunning 150-acre vineyard and was recently opened by her Royal Highness The Duchess of Edinburgh. This state-of-the-art winery is a testament to innovation and sustainability, featuring a gravity-led winemaking process and a subterranean cellar designed for optimal wine maturation. Metroline Security Limited were proud to be chosen to deliver the fire and security systems to this impressive building, with our team working across the three storeys, over two phases completing:   - The fire alarm and detection system – 4 Loop Advanced Mxpro5 fire alarm panel with over 175 Hochiki Europe devices. - Texecom Ltd. monitored intruder alarm system. - Paxton Access Ltd Paxton10 access control throughout. - Internal and external Hikvision CCTV cameras. - Fire extinguishers.   Our engineering team installed galvanized conduits, trays, and baskets to house the cabling with close collaboration with other trades, ensuring that all equipment was integrated with the architect’s design layout. A huge well done to our engineers for their hard work and dedication on this unique project and thank you to Arkay Building Services Ltd – it was a pleasure working with you.

Summer 2024 was undoubtedly one of our busiest periods of the year! The school holidays saw Metroline Security Limited take on four projects across Kent and South London: ·       Wallington County Grammar School. ·       Aragon Primary School. ·       Newington Community Primary School. ·       Christ Church Junior School. These projects required a great deal of project management with regular communication with estate teams, business managers and electrical contractors to ensure we stayed on target, ready for business to return as usual early September. Our engineers navigated some tricky cable routes by installing PVC conduit, MT2 mini and 4x4 box trunking and yes, there was plenty of crawling through lofts! Over a six week period, we deployed 28 dedicated engineers and successfully designed, installed and commissioned the following systems: 3 x Kentec Electronics Syncro fire alarm panels. 2 x Advanced Mxpro5 fire alarm panels. Over 300 x Apollo Fire Detectors XP95 fire alarm points. 3 x Scope F-Link Wireless Transmitters. 68 x Emergency light bulkheads & 37 x Battery packs. 30 x Paxton Access Ltd Net2 Access Control Doors. 82 x 24v Door holders with power supplies. 43 x Electrical spurs for the fire panels, Paxton controllers, 24v Transformer rectifier PSU’s, fire rated roller shutters, electronic gates & gas proving panels. Along with liaising with various contractors to successfully co-ordinate asbestos drilling and third-party integration for fire alarm systems. A huge thank you to everyone involved for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to delivering these projects on time. • One of our more local projects of 2024 saw us deliver the fire alarm and security systems to the award-winning Folkestone Shoreline development by Jenner (Contractors) Ltd. Each of the 60 luxury apartments was provided with a CAME UK video entry system, with access control across the site linked via ethernet gateways to the remote site team. A PC-based porter facility was configured, giving the operator full control of the system, despite the Estate Office being nearly half a mile away. In the event of the office being unmanned, visitors to Shoreline calling the concierge have the calls automatically routed to call the security team, providing a seamless 24/7 service. Over 40 IP cameras were installed throughout the development, once again there were remotely linked to the Estate Office to ensure that the site is fully monitored at all times. The fire alarm system consisted of two Advanced Mxpro5 8 loop fire alarm panels and two active fault tolerant repeaters. Connected to over 200 Hochiki Europe field devices with interface links to multiple 3rd party connections - the mechanical AOV systems, lifts, access control and the BMS. A complex cause and effect schedule was agreed at design stage and included in our handover documentation at commissioning. Thank you to our engineers, suppliers and client for making this a thoroughly enjoyable project!

  • 2024 saw the completion and commissioning of one of the largest access control projects we have been involved in, delivered to England's first secure school in Medway.   Working within a Tier 1 supply chain, Metroline Security Limited completed the installation of 250 Paxton Access Ltd Net2 access controlled doors, clustered within Elmdene International Ltd power supplies. With six networked buildings, this phased project ran over a period of 15 months. Working to strict MoJ requirements, controllers were interlinked to lock down multiple doors within designated clusters through an engineered solution. This ensures that when one door within an area is open, the linked doors are rendered inactive until it is closed. In addition, the #paxtonaccesscontrol system was fully integrated into Cortech Developments ISM software platform for centralised management and administration of the fire and security systems installed across the entire site.   As well as the delivery of the access control system, Metroline Security Limited were also contracted to deliver an Advanced fire alarm with Apollo Fire Detectors field devices, fully networked into the site-wide system for 6 separate buildings. Thank you to our suppliers Adiglobal Corporation, Tony Taylor, Oprema Ltd and Illumino Ignis Jordan Parsell.
