Today we are celebrating Pete's last working day before his well-earned retirement. Pete's been with the company for 19 years, and some of our team has worked with him for even longer. Throughout his time with MGS, he has contributed to maintaining high-quality tooling in our toolroom and mentoring our tool-making apprentice. Does your injection moulding partner have an in-house tool room? Our toolroom has been working on an inherited injection moulding tool. A small section of the tool required repair and maintenance, and has now been repaired to a high standard in-house. We want to welcome steve gaughan to MGS! Steve is our Quality Manager, and he's taking the quality department in his stride. He started at the end of last year so you may have already met him when working with us. We asked Steve what he was looking forward to in 2025 at MGS: "I am excited to bring a fresh perspective to a team that understands Quality is an integral part of the production process. It's a dream job when you can walk into a role that already has in place a robust functional quality system, built and supported by passionate team members, with the drive to make us the best we can be. What do you need to receive a quote? ✏️ Drawings - 3D CAD and/ or 2D Drawings. These are used to determine the dimensions and weight. ✔️ Material - either specified or the required characteristics of the moulding/product. 🔢 Quantities - An estimated annual quantity which can allow us to quote tooling and costs more accurately. To get the most complete quote possible you will need all three, but we can work with identifying a suitable polymer and quoting economic batch quantities were possible. #ukmfg #ukmanufacturing #plastics #quotes #injectionmoulding
