Code Quest! Kaye is all set to bring Code Club fun to #AJ2025 - an event bringing 10 000 scouts together for an unforgettable camp in the Fraser Coast region. At the Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) an impactful micro:bit mentor programme has been running. Led by Raja Rina Raja Ikram who saw an opportunity to enhance school STEM education through hands-on micro:bit activities, foster university student interest in STEM fields, and develop a sustainable mentorship programme. The impact is impressive: 🤩 Over 100 student volunteers trained 🤩 25 events participated in since November 2022 🤩 Over 1000 teachers and students impacted (in 1 year) Dr Rina aims to expand and enhance the programme by training more university students to grow the volunteer team, developing advanced training modules, and strengthening partnerships with industry to provide additional resources. This aligns with UTeM's goal of empowering Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and career advancement by equipping students with practical skills and career opportunities. As an implementing arm in the UNICEF Innovation Global Learning Innovation Hub’s "Tinkering with Tech" programme, it was fantastic to see students come together to celebrate a showcase of the projects they've created as part of the Tinkering with Tech project in Honduras. Our Head of LATAM partnerships, Jose Antonio Scodiero, was delighted to attend on behalf of the Micro:bit Educational Foundation and shared his highlights, “It was great to see the culmination of the teacher training workshops back in July.
