Fancy a look inside the new Metro depot? Over in Wednesbury on our Metro depot enhancement project, both the ground floor and upper floor foundations are now in place, along with some surrounding brickwork beginning to be laid.

Despite the cooler weather, our team have been able to continue with concrete pours along Albert Street this week. In addition, they’ve also been busy continuing on the tram stop foundations.

We're incredibly proud of our current T-Level students who have really gave their all during their time with us here at the Midland Metro Alliance. T-Levels are a fantastic way to really give young people a great start in their chosen careers. But don't take our word for it, Alina says it better than we ever could!

I think we’ll try defying gravity! Going up! The internal scaffold for the Horseley Road tram stop lift is now in place giving a peek ahead to what the final stop will look like.

Paving the way... Or lifting up? This week's been a busy one on Wednesbury to Brierley Hill extension, with marked progress made across many points of the route, so here's a few of the best bits! The steelwork for the lift shaft at Horseley Road tram stop is now installed. Over on Tipton Road tram stop we see a familiar sight as the paving on the platform area is complete, and at Great Bridge tram stop the platform edge slabs have been installed.

It’s been a little bit since we last gave an update on our Metro depot enhancement works, so here’s some images showing how the current control centre extension is looking. Also, at the nearby delta junction, mine treatment works continue.

All-in-all more than 75 cubic metres of earth-friendly concrete was poured for the next layer of the track bed along Albert Street

Looking fresh! Alongside the ongoing track and tram stop works in Albert Street, fresh brickwork is being laid for footpaths and crossing points. 

Today, our construction teams paused their work to mark the solemn occasion of Remembrance Day. Along with people up and down the country, they stood in respectful silence, honouring the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our freedom. We remember with gratitude those who gave their lives, and we acknowledge the ongoing impact of conflict on so many. Lest we forget. #RemembranceDay #LestWeForget
