👩🏫On Friday 8th November, the Herefordshire Low Carbon Technology Training Centre officially opened! The Training Centre at Herefordshire, Ludlow and North Shropshire College will run a range of courses that are designed to support local businesses, the construction industry, and homeowners by providing a range of training opportunities. The courses are designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to install a wide range of green energy solutions. The Training Centre was constructed with support from the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership and the Midlands Net Zero Hub. Find out more about the Training Centre: https://lnkd.in/esb2FrDm

Thank you to British Geological Survey, Cenergist, and Welltherm Drilling Limited who showed us around the drilling site for their vertical closed loop ground source heat pump project yesterday. Once finished, the system will provide low-carbon heat to two of the buildings on BGS's Keyworth site. 28 boreholes are currently being drilled and we had the opportunity to see the piping being fed into the 225m deep boreholes! The BGS team will also be using innovative fibre optic sensors to monitor the efficiency of the system to aid the development of future ground source heat pump systems. We're looking forward to hearing more about the findings of the project once it is complete!
