  • Excited to share this critical report launched by Systemiq Ltd. and supported by Minviro (Adriana Merino Zamora, Jordan Lindsay) and partners. As we navigate the clean energy transition, these insights into sustainable raw material production are invaluable. Let’s work together to innovate for Europe’s strategic autonomy and climate goals! The Challenge Europe’s global CRM production share has plummeted from 25% to just 7% in the last 40 years. Meeting the EU’s Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA) 2030 targets for mining, refining, and recycling demands transformative action. The Opportunity The report outlines seven groundbreaking technologies in major commodity supply chains, including: - Primary Sulfide Leaching - Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) - Novel low-carbon graphite routes Adopting these methods could dramatically cut the carbon footprint of EV batteries while ensuring sustainable CRM sourcing. It is, however, important to consider impact categories beyond carbon, which the report summarises succinctly for each major commodity analysed. Download the report for detailed policy recommendations: https://lnkd.in/e9Ckc6Hc Let’s seize this opportunity to innovate and lead the #CleanEnergyTransition. #RawMaterials #Innovation #Sustainability #Europe
