Martin Lewis-Stevenson, a Director of MK and NN Pulse Magazines will participate in YMCA Northamptonshire's inaugural Sleepout event on 27th March 2025. The event, hosted at Northamptonshire County Cricket Club's County Ground, aims to raise essential funds and awareness for young people transitioning from care. YMCA Northamptonshire, an independent charity affiliated with YMCA England and Wales, provides supported housing and holistic support to care-experienced young people aged 18-21. Their new project at Derngate, Northampton, focuses on creating a nurturing environment where residents feel a sense of belonging and security. The dedicated staff are committed to building community and guiding young people towards meaningful futures. Reflecting on his previous experience with similar initiatives, Martin remarked: "Sleeping out with just a sleeping bag, plastic sheet, and cardboard is an eye-opening experience. Many live like this through no fault of their own. Together, we can raise awareness and much-needed funding to help this worthwhile charity initiative." With the current economic climate making life difficult for many, support for vulnerable young people is more vital than ever. Martin is calling on fellow businesses and business owners to rally behind this cause by donating whatever they can to help him help others. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a real difference in providing young people with the support they need to build a brighter future.
