We value a pioneering spirit in our team, and recognise that giving our colleagues the freedom to experiment and suggest new ways of doing things often has positive results. For our latest project we needed to simulate the use of our new BLTU-4C product over many cycles. Each test takes around 2.5 seconds but to do this 100,000 times would have taken nearly 70 hours to complete; resulting in a very grumpy technician, with very tired arms! To save time on a hugely repetitive task, the NPD team have created an automated tester-tester; nicknamed the Probocop. Using custom 3D printed parts, simple electronics components and their engineering expertise, the team have automated the task and continued to ensure that our products meet the rigorous quality standards expected of ourselves and our customers. #MKinnovates #WeValuePioneers #TestAndMeasurement #TeamMK
