Struggling with the error “The client and server cannot communicate, because they do not possess a common algorithm” on your Umbraco 7 site? Although Umbraco 7 is end-of-life, many sites still rely on it. Aaron Sadler, Senior Umbraco DevOps Developer, shares a step-by-step guide to resolve this issue when deploying to Windows Server 2022 by upgrading .NET Framework to 4.8 and enforcing TLS 1.2. Stay ahead of Microsoft's upcoming Azure TLS deprecation and keep your site running smoothly. Read the full guide to secure your Umbraco 7 site today! Read here; https://lnkd.in/eNTigaET

Check out what Managing Partner Jen thought about this year's Umbraco UKFestival and UK Partner Summit... (spoiler alert: it's all good in the hood!)
MD at Moriyama, Umbraco Platinum Partner in UK & US - talk to me about #Umbraco consultancy, web development, Umbraco Cloud, digital transformation & more to support your business growth ambitions 🚀
Back at my desk after a brilliant couple of days spent in the company of the Umbraco community - feeling very lucky to be a part of this special club (not a cult, honest!), and to have the opportunity to hear perspectives from such a diverse group. Highlights for me included the thought- and action-provoking talks from Mike Berners-Lee and Asim Hussain, on the role technology can play in the climate crisis and the importance of measuring/owning our impact... ...Callum Whyte's session on creating an Umbraco AI Copilot to deliver editing innovation and enhanced efficiency... ...and having missed it at Codegarden in the summer I was so glad to have caught Georgina Bidder's talk on diabetes tech: an eye-opening exploration of the importance of involving the end user in your product development. Plus loads of opportunities to catch up with Umbracian friends and make fantastic new connections. And of course, thanks go to Umbraco and the Umbraco UK Foundation for two fantastic days in the capital... and to Becky Willis and Just After Midnight for the preparty at Shuffle Club! See you at the next one! #umbraco #h5yr #opensource Matt Bliss Thuy Tran Nikolas Rimington Aaron Sadler Jordan Smith Moriyama

Moriyama's Jenny Bradshaw and Matt Bliss attended Umbraco's US Partner Summit and Umbraco US Foundation, Inc.'s US Festival last week in Chicago... what a week that was! 🇺🇸🎉
MD at Moriyama, Umbraco Platinum Partner in UK & US - talk to me about #Umbraco consultancy, web development, Umbraco Cloud, digital transformation & more to support your business growth ambitions 🚀
Back at my desk after a smashing week in Chicago which exceeded all expectations 🇺🇸 Thursday's Umbraco US Partner Summit was a great opportunity to reconnect with contacts, make new friends and get the Exec team's take on the US market and the future for Umbraco (spoiler: it's looking brighter than ever!). There's a post from Moriyama in the works this week to share more of our experience, but I wanted to give a quick shout out to a few people who made it such a special event... a non-exhaustive list follows, and if I've omitted you from the list, blame the jet lag! So great to spend time with Karen Koehler Bryan O'Fiesh Jake Compton & Javier A. Miranda from the US team and Emma Burstow 🇩🇰 Filip Bech-Larsen from HQ, and to meet new CEO Mats Persson - I really enjoyed the fireside chat with the Exec team, it was good to hear Umbraco's unique DNA of commercially-backed open source + community engagement + partner network remains fundamental. Moriyama sponsored Thursday evening's drinks at District Brew Yards - so good to chat with so many Umbracians. Apologies to anyone still fighting to get their Moriyama VIP wristband off! 😉 Friday's Umbraco US Foundation, Inc. US Festival was a packed schedule of inspirational and enlightening talks: Kyle Brigham and Karla Santi got things started with a fabulous welcome 🎉 Heather Burns took us on a tour of Umbraco's past, present and future, with some excellent Scottish slang thrown in for good measure. Adam Prendergast's session on Astro x Umbraco showcased the capabilities of the platform to deliver highly performant sites. Janae Cram lead us on a whirlwind tour of fantastic editor features from TinyMCE - great job on fitting all that high value content into just 30 minutes! Marc Love & Paul Daly showcased the features and benefits of uSkinned Site Builder. Jen Wolke's talk on empowering content editors showcased some great examples from BlueModus on how they are putting this into practise. In the afternoon I had the great pleasure of joining Karla Santi Colleen Campbell and Brad Rockwood for a panel exploring Umbraco's position in the CMS landscape. Joe Kepley's session on making a package helped my non-technie brain gain some insight into how things get built (& how much love you have for the V8 Hemi!). Heather Floyd's cautionary tale about Frankensites helped us all think about how we can use upgrades to streamline sites and optimise projects. And Moriyama's own Matt Bliss championed putting the editor first when scoping projects, to ensure the people who use the site most regularly get the best possible experience. Huge thanks to all in the Umbraco US Foundation, Inc. team for organising such a brilliant event - Heather, Erica, Allen, Kyle, Karla, Adam, Blake & Alex. And thanks to Pawel, Cherie, Marc, Paul, Kyle, Ravi and many more for the great chats/laughs along the way! See you next time!
