About us
Mountbatten Hampshire (formerly Countess Mountbatten Hospice) provides practical, medical and emotional support to over 3,000 people every year with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses in Southampton and across west Hampshire. This support is not only given to the patients but also their carers and families throughout illness and bereavement. In April 2019 a collaboration between Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, known as the Mountbatten Group, created one of the largest providers of hospice and end of life care in England. Mountbatten Hampshire is a registered charity (number 1123304). It costs £8m per year to run our services in Hampshire (£8m). The NHS commissions and pays for some of our services however the majority of our income comes from fundraising, grants, legacies and retail activities. For more information visit our website.
