As we ease into 2025, make sure you don't miss our latest blog featuring Hussain Al-Zubaidi - a GP and a HUGE advocate of integrating physical activity into healthcare. We'll have more of these in the coming weeks from key figures across the health and physical activity sectors. If you have a suggestion of someone we should be speaking to, drop it in the comments! https://lnkd.in/eyS2zF4J

A brilliant blog from Annie Holden which spells out why our work with Active Partnerships is so important.
Our Strategic Health Lead, Annie Holden, has written a blog for Sport England about how regional health inequalities can be tackled by integrating activity into health and care. It includes examples of some of the great work that's already happening thanks to the #ActivePartnerships network and through our work with key partners. You can take a look now ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/enz_Ny9t

First workshop of the year - and it was a good one! The team have been in Southampton supporting local work to develop physical activity pathways across the area. Working with University of Southampton and Energise Me and a range of stakeholders, we explored a collective vision for local pathways. Special thanks to James Gavin for bringing us in to support this work. Can’t wait to see the next steps! #physicalactivity #physicalactivities Craig Blain Elaine McNish

I’m thrilled to share my recent blog with Move Consulting where we dive into the importance of pathways to movement and how they can reshape healthcare outcomes. In the piece, I discuss: ✅ Why creating accessible opportunities for physical activity matters. ✅ The role of healthcare professionals in signposting movement-based solutions. ✅ Practical steps to embed movement into daily routines for long-term health benefits. As a Lifestyle Doctor and advocate for holistic health, I believe empowering individuals to move more is key to addressing some of the most pressing health challenges of our time. Check out the blog to explore actionable insights and join the conversation on how we can make movement a priority in healthcare. I’d love to hear your thoughts—what pathways to movement have inspired you? #HealthCare #LifestyleMedicine #PhysicalActivity #MovementMatters #ActiveLiving

With lots of us heading out for a New Year's dip, it would seem timely to share this podcast episode from last year which is all about water wellbeing - with Elaine McNish (who loves nothing more than heading to her local beach) and Andrew Power AMRSPH at Swim England https://lnkd.in/eBNg_yfv

"True kindness is helping someone you may never meet." Could The Joshua Tree be your charity of the year in 2025? As 2024 comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on the moments I’m most proud of, and one that stands out is my connection with the incredible team at The Joshua Tree. This remarkable charity supports families navigating life with childhood cancer. As both a direct beneficiary and a supporter - serving on their Income Advisory Board - I’ve seen first-hand the life-changing work they do. (Some of you might remember earlier this year when I joined the #GiraffeToGiraffe cycling adventure, facilitated by the team at Move Consulting, raising vital funds for this cause 🚴🦒.) This holiday season, my family and I attended their carol service at Chester Cathedral, where they played a moving video (featuring a familiar voice - see if you recognize it! 😉). I’m sharing it here for others to see, and to ask you to consider if you might be able to help them to help others you might never meet. Please consider supporting their mission in 2025.
