Despite being the most common complication during and after pregnancy, perinatal mental health problems too often go unmentioned, unrecognised, undiagnosed, and untreated. We're on a mission to change that and encourage more parents to talk openly about their perinatal mental health experiences. We are grateful to MUBI, Elizabeth Sankey and all of the contributors involved in WITCHES for sharing their experiences so powerfully. At the Maternal Mental Health Alliance, we see the impact of the silence around perinatal mental health on parents and their families, leaving too many feeling isolated and to blame. So we're raising money with the Big Give #WGMF to build a new, comprehensive and compassionate information hub on our website so that parents and those around them can learn, talk, and access help earlier. It's time to follow a new spellbook and bring perinatal mental health #OutOfTheShadows 🌓: https://lnkd.in/eqRw3HNg WITCHES is available globally on Mubi on 22nd November.
