I was so thrilled to read the case study from Manchester Museum in MuseumNext's latest newsletter about how they have transformed their gift shop to be a leader in sustainable buying and selling through a focus on removing plastic products and collaborating with local retailers, among more. This is what we all need to exemplify in our museum shops - spaces that reflect the core values of their institutions and move away from the quick win a plastic product can give for the budget, towards more thoughtful, community-championing sustainable practices.
