📢 The NAB is excited to present the third edition of its State of the Broadcasting Industry Report! The Report includes the overall results of a confidential survey of NAB members, by research contributor PwC, and it tracks key sectoral developments over the last five years including the impact of COVID-19 and loadshedding. The release of the Report comes as South Africa marks 30 years of democracy, and 30 years of independent regulation of broadcasting. The survey focuses on the sector’s revenue generation, contribution to licence fees, taxes and levies, as well as investment in people, content, technology, infrastructure and corporate social investment. 📺 TV is a trusted and reliable source of information and is held to high editorial standards. This is particularly important in the current context of increasing misinformation and disinformation. 🌍 Today, the NAB joins the world in celebrating this important annual United Nations International Day, proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly on 17 December 1996, in recognition of TV’s role in informing, and affecting public opinion. egta The Global TV Group UNESCO Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA) The Department of Communications and Digital Technologies ICASA National Electronic Media Institute of South Africa
