We have nearly doubled the size of our AGP Onion Packhouse in Long Sutton to keep pace with our increasing production and demand, seeing the site grow from 40,000 to 75,000 sq ft. Construction is ongoing and due to be completed by June 2025. 🧅 In the meantime, the AGP packhouse is operating as normal and won’t stop but rather slowly migrate over. It was fantastic to visit one of our local growers, Westlands UK in Offenham, Worcestershire—less than 5 miles from our Evesham Depot! Emma, Maeve, Patrycja, and Rebecca were given an insightful tour by Peter Taylor, showcasing the impressive glasshouse growing operation, including unique automation that enhances efficiency from harvest to packhouse. We also learned about their innovative use of recycled fabric offcuts as a sustainable growing medium for their Micro Leaves—no soil needed! 🌿♻️ We were excited to see the progress on their new glasshouses, set to be ready by the end of April!
