Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete our Curriculum and Assessment Review call for evidence. I am on the train to London this morning for a NATRE Executive Meeting. I am looking forward to lots of geeky RE chat and working with friends and people I respect hugely to support RE teachers nationally.

Getting set up to support RELIGIOUS EDUCATION COUNCIL OF ENGLAND AND WALES and NATRE at the Labour Party Conference to talk about the importance of specialist teachers and RE for all.

We will be at the #Labour Party - Get your MP to meet us! Over half of the members of the parliament in the new government are new. We need to make sure all MPs are briefed about the challenges faced by #teachers of Religious Education. We are attending the Labour Party Conference, so we must have an up-to-date list of people who value our subject and can support our lobbying work. My interview with BBC 3 counties for NATRE was about the need for a national plan for RE. We need specialised teachers and a CPD programme so that we can navigate the challenges of the RE classroom and learn to disagree agreeably—something my students at Hethersett Academy and Inspiration Trust will be focusing on.

Supporting NATRE as they call for #politicians to look again at the way #YoungPeople experience #ReligiousEducation. Young people deserve to be taught Religion and Worldviews in a competent and up to date way. Neglecting the #humanities is factor to much of the social polarisation we have seen. Real life encounter in also RE/R&Ws is essential – and the feedback we keep receiving from our EFB workshops continues to show us how important this area is for #teachers and #students.
