I've been invited to talk at NatureAlpha's event at the Royal Society in London in November, alongside the likes of Google DeepMind and Virunga National Park. A few weeks ago I went from discussions with the Kogi indigenous peoples of Colombia, whose worldview pleads with us to change our relationship with the natural world and, for example, to stop building hydroelectric plants because they are blocking our Mother's bloodflow - a principle I fully comprehend. To having a discussion with Emmanuel from Virunga who found the funding for a hydroelectric power plant - that offers a clean energy alternative to the highly destructive charcoal trade in Congo that was threatening the national park, murdering thousands of innocent people and pushing the endangered mountain gorilla into extinction. Life is both simple and complicated. Balance is found between two points. My heart is of Nature, I can see the duality of tech and AI quite clearly, this is going to be an interesting talk to both write and give, using creative and yet grounded reasoning made possible by Puro Fairtrade Coffee.
