The Netball Super League is the UK's elite domestic league comprising eight teams across England and Wales. Relaunching in 2025, the NSL’s transformational vision is to illuminate the indisputable power of women and become the most competitive, engaging and entertaining netball league in the world with every match broadcast worldwide. The eight clubs competing in the Netball Super League in 2025 are Birmingham Panthers, LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons, NIC Leeds Rhinos Netball, London Mavericks, London Pulse, Loughborough Lightning, Manchester Thunder and Nottingham Forest Netball. The League works closely with all Clubs and England Netball to help grow opportunities for netball across the country with a focus on youth and community development, inclusivity and empowerment.

  • New rules and innovations for the 2025 season 💫 🔜 The Netball Super League (NSL) will introduce the two-goal Super Shot for all games in the 2025 season.   • 🗣️ A leading voice in women’s sport As the Netball Super League (NSL) prepares to relaunch in 2025, kickstarting a ten-year journey to professionalisation, NSL Managing Director Claire Nelson has joined leading figures and brands across the sport and media industries to share her expertise and insight into plans to build the most competitive, commercially vibrant and captivating netball League in the world. 🎤 At the Premier Sports Network International Sports Summit, Claire joined a panel featuring TikTok’s Rollo Goldstaub, Prime Video & Amazon MGM StudiosAlex Green and Aston Villa Football Club’s Chris Hornbuckle for an insightful discussion on the use of social media and streaming to boost fan engagement. Key headlines from the conversation reinforced the importance of user-generated content as part of targeted digital strategies to grow new audiences, whilst the panel also reflected on the growing influence of free-to-air platforms in broadening audiences. The Netball Super League (NSL) has revealed further information regarding the U23 feeder League that was announced as part of the wider plans ahead of the 2025 season. Confirmed as the NXT Gen League, the competition has been developed to deliver extended opportunities for emerging talent, nurture and develop the next generation of world class players and provide a pipeline of talent for the NSL. Fixtures and squad line-ups as well as the new brand identity for the newly named NXT Gen League have been revealed today. Here are five things you need to know: ⚔️ The League will feature nine teams from Birmingham Panthers, LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons, London Mavericks, London Pulse Netball Super League Team, Manchester Thunder Netball, Loughborough Lightning, NIC Leeds Rhinos, Nottingham Forest and Team Bath Netball. 🤝 All teams have revealed their squads on social media today. Head to the individual Clubs’ social media channels to find out who will be taking to court! 📆 The League will begin in February 2025 and will see all nine teams play each other twice in a home and away format to find a national winner, with fixtures aligned to NSL matches where possible. 4️⃣  Eligibility for the competition is for athletes under 23 years, however squads can include up to four players over the age of 23 years to support and enhance the quality of the competition, whilst protecting opportunities for developing athletes. 🚀 Players registered within the NXT Gen League will be eligible, providing they meet the eligibility criteria, to act as a Temporary Replacement Player (TRP) for their Club’s NSL squad, in instances where one of the ten Registered NSL players are not available for selection due to Short Term Circumstances. Last week we invited major brands, agencies and media to a Business Breakfast event where we heard all about the fast growing momentum behind the Netball Super League. The Netball Super League (NSL) has today confirmed that the season-ending Grand Final in 2025 will take place at The O2 in London marking the first time in the League’s history that the showcase event will be staged at the iconic venue. The decision to host the Grand Final at the venue reflects the League’s ambition to elevate the sport to new heights and marks a significant milestone as the League continues its journey towards professionalisation. The event will be a major moment for the sport, providing new and existing netball fans with the opportunity to watch the pinnacle of live elite netball in one of the most prestigious arenas in the world. In a season that will be bigger and better than ever before, a new post season format has also been announced that will see a total of 14 regular rounds building to Major and Minor Semi-Finals followed by a Preliminary Final, before the showpiece event, the Grand Final at The O2.   • The Netball Super League will relaunch in 2025, bigger and better than ever before, and with it, an exciting new one-day competition: The Netball Super Cup.   Driven by the Netball Super League’s commitment to innovate and elevate the sport to new levels, the Netball Super Cup is a new-look tournament for 2025.   Held at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield on Saturday 8 March, International Women’s Day, this will be a standalone event ahead of the regular rounds, with all eight teams preparing to compete for the first honours of the season and giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come before the season starts.   The pool groups will be revealed in a live draw on Sky Sports News tomorrow at 3.15pm, and tickets will be on sale for England Netball members at 10am on Thursday 10 October, with general sale launching at 10am on Monday 14 October.   Click here to read more: https://lnkd.in/eTNbzQzN   #Netball #Sport #WomensSport #Brand #BrandIdentity #Netball #NetballSuperLeague #NSL2025 #NewEra

  • An incredibly exciting day at the start of September saw the Netball Super League (NSL) take centre stage as all eight Clubs revealed their 2025 squads via live player and coach interviews on Sky Sports News. These eight interviews, with seven NSL athletes and five NSL Head Coaches, featured live on Sky Sports News, reaching over 147,000 sports fans. This outstanding live coverage from Sky Sports News was accompanied by interviews with NSL stars on BBC Sports News and BBC Radio 5 Live as well as a host of regional media coverage, giving players, coaches and Clubs the opportunity to share their exciting news with wider sporting fans and driving significant digital and social engagement. Achieving over a remarkable 4.8 million social impressions on League-wide social channels, along with a League-wide reach of over 2 million, the announcements generated exceptional engagement and resulted in a 136% increase in NSL website page views when compared to average page views in the week prior. This is a clear demonstration of the passion, dedication and commitment of NSL fans as well as the potential for continued audience growth as the League embarks on a new era in 2025.
