🇬🇧 Earlier this week, newcleo’s Andrew Murdoch (UK Managing Director) and Hugo FitzGerald (Director of Government and International Affairs) participated in the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Nuclear Energy (APPG) session focused on advanced modular reactors (AMRs).  💬 "We were pleased to share details of newcleo’s project at this week’s APPG Nuclear Energy meeting on AMRs, combining lead fast reactor technology with MOX fuel to close the fuel cycle. It was a key opportunity to highlight the need for government support on siting decisions and market routes to build investor confidence. 🤝 We are pleased to announce an agreement for a Joint Venture Company (JVC) with MAIRE NEXTCHEM to develop a new generation commercial-scale power plant, based on our 200 MWe Advanced Modular Reactor (AMR).    💡 The JVC will provide technical services including design, critical equipment supply, and project management integration, leveraging MAIRE's technology know-how and significant E&C solutions capabilities, to facilitate and accelerate the development and commercialisation of newcleo’s LFR-AS-200.    ⚛️ newcleo will take a 40% stake in the JVC and NEXTCHEM will be granted newly issued shares up to 5% of newcleo’s share capital at pre-money valuation. 🇫🇷 Nous sommes fiers de franchir deux étapes importantes dans le processus d'autorisation de nos projets nucléaires en France. 💡 1️⃣ Vendredi dernier, nous avons officiellement soumis auprès de l’Autorité de sûreté nucléaire (ASN) notre Dossier d'Option de Sûreté (DOS) pour notre ligne pilote de fabrication de combustible nucléaire destiné à nos propres réacteurs. Ce dossier permettra à l'ASN d'examiner les options de sûreté structurantes du projet, ouvrant ainsi la voie à une future demande d'autorisation de création d’installation nucléaire. 2️⃣ Fin novembre, un séminaire technique de 4 jours dédié à notre projet de réacteur de 30 MWe a été organisé par l’ASN à Paris. Il a mobilisé des experts de l’#ASN, de l’IRSN, du Groupe Transverse d’Experts Réacteurs Innovants (GT-RI), et des observateurs des autorités de sûreté belges, slovaques et suédois.
