Breaking News 🚨 Thales Alenia Space engineering teams based in Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, UK, will lead the design of the Propulsion systems module to enable the Argonaut Lunar Lander to ascend and descend to the Moon’s surface. The module will be built, tested and assembled in our Space Manufacturing and Assembly facility in Thales Belfast, Northern Ireland. Richard Thorburn, Chief Executive of Thales Alenia Space UK commented, “We are extremely proud to be part of this major European mission in lunar exploration. The Argonaut Lunar Lander will deliver precious cargo to the Moon’s surface, including rovers, instruments for scientific missions and so much more. Three Companies Lead the Way in Environmental Satellite Research To Tackle Blue Green Algae in Lough Neagh 🛰️ NI SPACE, in conjunction with the UK Space Agency and the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) has launched the first phase of a Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI), where three companies have been awarded £360,000 to develop satellite technologies for monitoring blue green algae in Lough Neagh. 🔬 Three innovative companies, Newcastle University, 3DEO, and Plastic-i - will develop proof-of-concept projects, utilising advanced space-based technologies to observe and predict algae blooms.
