About us
The Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity is the official charity fundraising exclusively for the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales. The health and wellbeing of children is central to our organisations’ mission and we are proud to provide such vital support to thousands of patients from across Wales and beyond. The hospital delivers specialist and life-saving treatment to 73,000 children each year, while many others are seen in its clinics throughout the country. Originally set up as an appeal to build and equip the national children’s hospital for Wales, the second phase of which was opened in 2015, the charity now continues to work hand in hand with the hospital, providing funding for the most up to date equipment and facilities. It also funds support services for families like the play specialist team, who help children be children, despite the difficulties they are facing.

In a true show unity and community spirit, Tata Steel UK employees and contractors have come together to raise an incredible £15,095 for the Noah’s Ark Charity. The initiative started when Rob Dare, fire and rescue manager at Tata Steel UK, visited the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales at Christmas to deliver selection boxes after securing donations from Tata Steel UK contractors. When Rob started talking to colleagues and friends about the charity and its impact, his enthusiasm soon became contagious, and a huge fundraising initiative was born. From cycling the CARTEN100 to running the Cardiff Half Marathon, organising seven-a-side football matches, and attending gala dinners, the team found every possible way to help. And it wasn’t just about fundraising. Volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help with events, provided vans to move equipment, and even set up infrastructure for charity events. The generosity went beyond money—it was about people giving their time, skills, and energy. Tata Steel UK were joined in their efforts by a whole team of companies including Runtech Limited, Acorn by Synergie, Speedy Hire, MII Engineering, JW Morris, Bijur Delimon, C&P Engineering Services Ltd and Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services. Their collective efforts more than paid off when, at the CAPAC meeting on-site at Port Talbot, Rob, who is now a community ambassador for the charity, had the chance to share the incredible £15,095 total. It’s a lasting testament to a community that came together to make a real difference. Thank you 🌈 Read the full story on our website here: https://lnkd.in/e32v4fkn
