We help babies, children, and young people who are seriously unwell, and their families, make the most of every day.

About us

Our vision is for every baby, child, and young person who is seriously unwell, and their loved ones, to have access to expert and compassionate palliative care from the point of diagnosis. We help children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions, and their families, make the most of every day - and support those who die young to do so in as much comfort as possible, surrounded by family. We are here to enable those we support to enjoy life as children, rather than as patients; as families, not just as carers. Our staff and trained volunteers provide clinical, emotional and practical support for families across north and central London, as well as Herts Valley.

  • Nothing boosts workplace wellbeing quite like a puppy visit! 🐶✨ As we navigate the chilly days of January, we wanted to bring some joy and warmth to our team. That’s why we partnered with Paws in Work to add a little sunshine to our day! Colleagues took a well-deserved break to enjoy plenty of cuddles and belly rubs with some adorable pups. Paws in Work combines mental health training with unique puppy therapy events, providing teams with the tools and support they need to prioritise mental health. Judging by the beaming smiles across the office, we’d say it was a massive success! A huge thank you to Paws in Work for bringing a dose of sunshine to our day and making this wonderful experience possible. 🌤️

  • We were thrilled to welcome TV star Sarah Parish MBE and her husband, actor James Murray MBE, to The Ark this week. As founders of The Murray Parish Trust, their latest initiative is dedicated to supporting children with life-limiting conditions by funding 300 drama therapy sessions for children at Noah’s Ark. ✨🎭 During their visit, Sarah and James toured The Ark to explore our facilities and learn more about the impact of Drama Therapy. They spoke with Christina, who shared how the therapy has positively affected her son Joseph, big brother to Arthur, who is supported by Noah’s Ark. They also spent time with our Drama and Movement Therapist, Pasha, discussing how expanding this service will further benefit the children and families we support. Thank you, Sarah and James, for your incredible support and commitment to helping children who are seriously unwell make the most of every day. 🌟

  • Thank you to Bambos Charalambous, Labour MP for Southgate and Wood Green, for your sincere support of the hospice sector during the House of Commons debate on Hospice and Palliative care yesterday. Every person has a right to receive holistic, high-quality and person-centred palliative from the point of diagnosis. Funding for this support must be sustainable, and we welcome Minister of Care Stephen Kinnock commitment to including this in the government's 10-year health plan. Support from MPs such as Bambos is essential in securing the future of hospices such as ours. We couldn't agree more with his closing statement: "In conclusion, hospices such as the North London Hospice and Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice exemplify the best of what we can achieve as a society. They are places of compassion, expertise and hope, but they cannot continue to operate under the current financial and bureaucratic pressures. We owe it to them—and to the people they serve—to provide the support that they need to thrive. Let us ensure that hospices have the resources they need to continue their vital work—not just today, but for generations to come." ❤️ You can watch the full debate here: https://lnkd.in/eQn6Zn4D

Along with thoughtful gifts, they brought energy, laughter, and fun to The Ark. 💛🖤 The players even showcased their football skills in our fully accessible playground, proving that they are just as talented off the pitch as they are on it. ⚽ A huge thank you to Watford FC Academy and Watford Football Club spreading so much festive cheer – you are always welcome back for a kickabout!

  • Throwing it back to when we took our older sibling group out for an unforgettable evening of go-karting fun! 🏎️💨 They fully embraced their inner race car drivers, zipping around the track and sharing plenty of laughs and friendly competition. Organising activities like this is a big part of our holistic approach to care, which focuses on supporting the entire family. These outings offer siblings the chance to just be kids while building connections and friendships along the way. ❤️
