  • 🏃♀️ We're excited to announce that Becky Rayner will be running in April's London Marathon for No Limits! We were lucky enough to have won a space for this year's London Marathon, our first ever, and opened a ballot. From the 11 ballot entries, Becky was chosen as our runner! Becky works for Savills, Southampton, our recent corporate partner, and is an experienced runner. She says: ‘I believe the work No Limits does is invaluable and I would love to be able to support my local Southampton community through running for them in the London Marathon, and support a charity which makes a direct impact to Southampton's young people.’ Becky hopes to raise £2,000 for No Limits, if you'd like to support Becky you can donate to her Just Giving page here: https://lnkd.in/eayPvqmJ

  • 🥳 We had a great Advice Centre Christmas party on Friday! There was food, presents, games and even karaoke, but we couldn't have made it happen for the young people without some brilliant teamwork and the help of some amazing partners and volunteers. A BIG thank you to: 🙌 MOSL for sponsoring this year's party, as well as linking us up with The Duke on the Test and providing gifts, drinks and karaoke. 🧑🍳 Ian, our chef from The Duke on the Test, and Aimi, from MOSL, for organising and putting the food together. 🎲 Julie, Kevin and Gemma, volunteers from Documation Software Ltd who helped set up, wrote the quiz and brought along board games. Thank you to Cooper Foods, The Duke On the Test's suppliers and The Four Horseshoes for your support. Thank you so much to anyone who attended, or helped out in any way 💚

  • It's #InternationalVolunteerDay so we want to say a huge THANK YOU to all our amazing volunteers! 🙌 We have volunteers across our services, speaking to young people on our Advice Centre drop-in, helping them find employment at our Work Club, supporting them in Emergency Departments, working one-to-one with young parents and much more. We wouldn't be able to help as many young people as we do without them 💚 Interesting in giving some time to a great cause? We have two volunteer opportunities open now. • Today, we are launching our 2024 Christmas appeal, which focuses on our support for young people in housing crisis at Christmastime. In the run up to Christmas 2023, we supported 121 young people needing help with serious housing issues - more than double the amount in 2022. We are expecting to be helping similar numbers this year. Please donate through the link below: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/etqEjsQ4 Every penny we raise will go directly to giving young people potentially life-changing free support. Thank you 💚 #GivingTuesday

  • We'd like to thank BDB Pitmans for their ongoing support! In the past few months, the team have donated an incredible £1,500 to No Limits, as well as a collection of toiletries for our Advice Centre 💚 This week, they also held a charity bake-off, raising money for us with delicious cakes made by their team 😋

  • It was great to have some of our Health & Wellbeing youth workers attend the 2024 Youth Trends Conference with Stacey Miller last Wednesday. They heard some fantastic inputs around topics including relationships and sex education, AI technology, knife crime and safer streets, stalking, LGBTQ+ and neurodiversity 🙌 A nice little surprise too to see No Limits featured on the conference bingo sheet! 😍

  • Recently our Portsmouth-based youth workers, Ella and Renee, went to spend an evening at the URBOND youth club to find out more about what they do and how we can work together to support young people. 🤝 URBOND's Youth Development programme offers great support and community in Portsmouth for young people living in areas where there is a higher risk of becoming involved in anti-social behaviour and crime. Ella and Renee met staff at the youth club to hear more about their support for young people and start to build a solid relationship. Ella even fancied her chances on the keyboard! 🎹
