Yesterday we visited Sheppey Community Hospital where a new substation, main 1250A Form 4 Type 6 LV panel and other MEPH services works are taking place associated with the new CT scanner and MRI Suite. It was fantastic seeing the completion of the phase one enabling works carried out by Cooper Clarke Construction, the CT scanner being commissioned, and the great progress already made by GD Smy Ltd on the internal modifications for the phase two MRI works. Norman Bromley have been involved in the design and Technical Advisor duties for both phases. The works will bring much needed community diagnostic services to the Thanet area. #MEP #construction #healthcare #sheppeycommunityhospital AMP Infrastructure Ltd Mdb Associates Cowan Architects Cooper Clarke Construction GD Smy Ltd GRETTON WARD ELECTRICAL LIMITED

Norman Bromley Partnership are delighted that 5 Windsor Walk has won Project of the Year for Refurbishment at the Design in Mental Health Awards, https://lnkd.in/gKAcftCH. 5 Windsor Walk is one of the first standalone facilities in the UK dedicated to the administration of psychedelic drugs for treatment-resistant bipolar disorder, depression, and other mental health conditions. Norman Bromley was lead Mechanical and Electrical designers on this refurbishment of a Victorian house set in a conservation area on the SLaM Denmark Hill campus, creating a home for psilocybin therapy. The lighting was sympathetically designed to help create a relaxed environment, with ambient LED colour change lighting to the perimeter of floating ceilings in the therapy/dosing rooms and decorative dimmable lighting throughout. CCTV for user observation and flush ceiling microphones/speakers for two-way communication with a music system was also provided to the dosing rooms. We understand from Compass that the new facility is working very well and that they are working on some interesting results with the clinical trials. We look forward to working with the team again one day soon, congratulations everyone! After 3 years the full refurbishment and extension of the emergency departments at William Harvey Hospital and QEQM Hospital is approaching completion. The departments remained live throughout this £30 million phased scheme which provides improved capacity and modern facilities for the Trust's patients and staff. It has been particularly rewarding delivering a project at my local hospitals with a great project team - Andrew Doubtfire MIHEEM, Emma Barrett, Jessica Wandless, Ade Omiyale MRICS, Hazle McCormack Young LLP, Norman Bromley Partnership LLP, Modus Construction Consultants, Sweco, Bauvill, WW Martin Ltd and Gardiner & Theobald LLP
