From Yorkshire to Delhi, via Pune. A week after the UK Emergency Services Show, we were in Delhi with our joint venture partner, Ajil Fibretech - India, to showcase the North Fire engineered and prototyped Quick Response Vehicle (QRV) for the Indian firefighting sector which will be produced in India for the Indian market. Just months after opening a new state-of-the-art factory in Calder Valley, British fire appliance manufacturer North Fire has: ▪️ Created dozens of new jobs and Invested in a range of new cutting-edge machinery. ▪️ Won a plethora of new contracts in the UK and around the world. ▪️ Continued, and expanded, North Fire's founder's Oliver North's long-standing support for the Ukrainian Firefighters Foundation - a specialist charity dedicated to helping Ukrainian firefighters, rescuers and sappers. ▪️ Received accolades for its ground-breaking work from industry, the British Prime Minister, local dignitaries, Ukraine, suppliers, and new customers. ▪️ Invested in the next generation of British engineers by recruiting a cohort of apprentices, including Harry (North Fire foreman Rory's son) and Oliver's own son Oscar. ▪️ Unveiled its newly developed rapid intervention vehicle (RIV) which is set to enter service with UK fire and rescue services in the coming months. We’re thrilled to unveil the first images of our next generation rapid intervention vehicle, in this case based on new Ford Ranger chassis, with large volumes in production and due into UK fire and rescue services in the coming weeks. Our all-new lightweight body utilises original base vehicle features including lights, cameras and bumpers. The North Fire NFE30 high-pressure pump provides efficient delivery from its 300-litre water tank, and its intelligent stowage maximises every cubic centimetre of available space for firefighting and rescue equipment. Last week, two of our team once again had the pleasure of delivering essential firefighting vehicles and rescue equipment directly to Ukrainian front line rescuers - this time from Sumy region - at handovers in Kyiv, alongside our close friends at Ukrainian FireFighters Foundation. Oliver and Mark also delivered and demonstrated Ukraine’s first VR firefighting simulator to a packed auditorium at the State Emergency Service of Ukraine’s training school in Vinnytsia - with huge thanks to FLAIM Systems for the kind donation. Thanks also to Weber Rescue UK, Britannia Fire Ltd and Jafco, to name but a few, for ensuring the vehicles were delivered full to the brim with world-class equipment. The miles travelled to Kyiv were many (1,701) and the days long, but - as always - the teams remained full of morale and positivity in support of our Ukrainian friends, knowing our support for them is nothing in comparison to theirs for us. #Respect #Family #UKmfg
