The Road to Rights Roadshow, in partnership with the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young People, recently visited 5 cities and towns across Northern Ireland in 5 days.
Over the course of the week, the Translink Youth Forum engaged with more than 300 young people, discussing key topics such as Safety and Transport, Climate and Sustainability, and their Rights as Children. It was truly an inspiring week, highlighting the importance of youth voices.
Too often, young people feel their opinions go unheard, but this time, the Roadshow was organised and led by the young people , giving them the platform to share their ideas and perspectives with Senior Translink staff and council representatives 🎤💭
I was blown away by the passion and enthusiasm of the young people we met—many of whom I believe will become future leaders in their chosen line of work! 👏
A huge thank you to those who worked on this project including the NICCY staff, Translink Youth Forum, the Northern Ireland Youth Forum, Newry and Mourne District Council, Fermanagh & Omagh District Council, Derry City & Strabane District Council, Mid Ulster District Council and Belfast City Council for their support and hospitality throughout the week.
