Excellent news! Delighted for NorthSouth Consultants Ltd to be partnering with made Architects UK to deliver this important long-term programme together with City of London Corporation and the City of London School for Girls.

Pleased to share that NorthSouth Consultants Ltd has successfully completed a RAAC review across the Victoria and Albert Museum portfolio which spans London and Wiltshire. This important project covered a range of significant buildings, including Grade 1 listed sites and unique structures originally designed during World War II to house high explosives. The V&A, established in 1852, is a leading museum of art and design with a vast collection that spans 5,000 years of history. It remains a key institution for preserving and showcasing a wide range of cultural artifacts. We're excited to continue our partnership with the estate team as we work together on new and exciting projects that will help preserve and enhance this iconic institution.

NorthSouth Consultants Ltd are partnering with the City of London Corporation to deliver a comprehensive survey and maintenance plan at the Golden Lane Leisure Centre, an integral part of the renowned Golden Lane Estate. Listed in 1977 for its architectural and historic significance, Golden Lane is known as one of Britain's most important post-war housing developments, renowned for its modernist design and pioneering urban planning. As part of our investigations, we uncovered a fascinating piece of the estate's history—a 1950s paddling pool integrated into the roof structure and promenade. This historic feature, shown below, is now potentially contributing to internal issues that require attention as part of our review. Our strategy addresses these challenges while also supporting the City of London’s carbon reduction goals by enhancing the site's energy efficiency through sustainable solutions, such as optimising existing PV panels and exploring the integration of Air Source Heat Pumps. We are committed to preserving the fabric, functionality, and sustainability of this important site.

Pleased to confirm the appointment of NorthSouth Consultants Ltd to provide multi-disciplinary services for external refurbishments at Devonport House in the heart of Greenwich. Great to be working with the University of Greenwich on this iconic listed building. Devonport is located within the Maritime Greenwich UNESCO World Heritage site and has a rich history of previous uses and expansions. It is currently utilised as student accommodation and an international pathway college. Keep an eye out for future project updates and follow our NorthSouth journey on our social media accounts !

NorthSouth Consultants Ltd- First Month In! It's been a highly enjoyable first month for me working with Grant Mcfall FRICS at our new practice, NorthSouth Consultants Ltd. Most of my career has been project based, all interesting, but setting up the practice has needed accountants, solicitors, Companies House, insurers etc all of which is new territory to both of us but we are now up and running, RICS registered and on the Crown Commercial and Nepro3 (DFE) frameworks. We are already working with some wonderful clients including; Victoria and Albert Museum Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark University of Greenwich London South East Academies Trust Cineworld City of London Corporation The varied nature of the work has been significant, from residential development appraisal to RAAC surveys to Planned Maintenance Programmes. We'll upload some more project specific posts in the coming weeks!

I am pleased to announce that Richard Pell has joined NorthSouth Consultants Ltd as Co-Owner and Director. Richard has been a trusted long time friend and colleague for over 10 years and is also a highly experienced Chartered Surveyor with a diverse background across multiple sectors. Together, we have successfully delivered projects worth over £250m in the residential, commercial, heritage and education sectors covering many different appointment types including development, refurbishment, condition surveys and feasibility studies.   With Richard on board we are excited about reaching new milestones and look forward to sharing more NorthSouth updates shortly.
