We're told by so many large companies to go through a large project for their excess food - and not one that we spoke to realised that non profit projects like ours get charged a membership 'by the weight' for food from there, and many organisations like ours who operate food banks and community fridges/stores just can't afford it. To meet even a quarter of our needs it will cost us £8008 this year... imagine that, a food bank can't afford the food donated for food banks. #justsaying
