We're proud to announce that we are the NRCPD's new VRS partner. This means, going forward, that members of the public and registrants will be able to contact the organisation through our Community Directory for free. The NRCPD is the national regulator of over 1,600 language service professionals, including BSL interpreters and translators, ensuring high standards and public confidence in language services across the UK. They set minimum standards, investigate complaints, and work with organizations to ensure quality service. We look forward to working together. #NRCPD #BSL #Interpreting #VRS

The recent research by RNID highlights why 'It does matter'. Deaf People are feeling excluded, patronised and losing confidence from daily exclusion. “when you say it doesn’t matter, I feel like I don’t matter” The research shows that this doesn't come from a deep negative feeling towards people who are deaf or have a hearing loss, but because of a lack of confidence and knowledge on how to communicate effectively. Creating inclusive environments for Deaf and deafblind people, requires abandoning assumptions and embracing a culture of inquiry.
