🚚 In between raw materials and the final product reaching consumers hands, logistics serves the crucial purpose of obtaining, storing, and moving goods to the right place at the right time. With an increasing demand for efficient and sustainable solutions, Swedish logistics company NTEX AB has, since its establishment in 2003, stood out a mile in the industry. Their key to success? A green, customer-centric approach – and a knack for solving problems before they escalate. We had the pleasure of speaking to Malcolm Thorpe, Managing Director of NTEX UK, and David Forsberg, Business Unit Manager UK & Ireland at NTEX, to learn more about their operations here in the UK, and how they plan to take on the future. Just in time for a sunny vacation – the summer issue of LINK is now out! LINK 369 is filled to the brim with stories from our vibrant community - from Tord Nilsson telling us about The Swedish Club’s journey in maritime insurance, and a visit to the culinary experience at Studio Frantzén (part of the Frantzén Group), to the future of sustainable fashion and the modern way of shopping with Henrik Nordvall at H&M. The cover feature for this issue is an in-depth interview with Nicole Melillo Shaw, Managing Director at Volvo Car UK. Nicole gives you her perspective on leadership and that vulnerability doesn’t mean compromising strong, decisive leadership. Plus, we asked the burning question on everyone's mind: will there ever be a flying Volvo? As the summer has arrived, we have time to reflect and make ourselves sustainable for the autumn. Our guest columnist Jana Söderberg gives her best advice on how to review your personal balance sheet – to be the best version of yourselves. Besides this, in this numbers ‘SCC Story’ we rewind to the year of 1967, where 26-year-old Christian Bratt and his fellow internship companions were heading up the SCC and spent the weekends enjoying everything that “Swinging London” had to offer young professionals at the time. Also in this issue: ☀️ In the midst of Grand Hôtel Stockholm’s 150-year celebration, we had the pleasure to interview their CEO, Pia Djupmark, delving into a world of luxurious comfort and hospitality perfection. ☀️ Malcolm Thorpe and David Forsberg from the Swedish logistics company NTEX UK share their success story and give you their key to success. ☀️ Get to know our six new scholars – thanks to our generous scholarship funds, we are glad to welcome this year’s cohort for an exciting year with us. ☀️ Celebrating our Young Professionals’ Network turning 30 years. ☀️ Embrace personal resilience in a dynamic world – we asked Dr Katarina Gospic, MD,PhD, John North, and Eleonor Duhs in a quick Q&A on how they maintain their personal resilience. ☀️ The latest news from our Annual General Meeting – a symphony of new appointments.
