We were delighted to host the SkillBuild NI Inter-Campus Competition at our Greystone and Springtown campuses yesterday, as part of the selection process for the Regional Competition.   There were many talented students from Brickwork, Tiling, Carpentry, Welding, Motor Vehicle and Light Vehicle Repair, and Plumbing - a massive well done to all who took part and congratulations to the winners!   #NWRC #SkillBuild CITB NI

A massive congratulations to our Early Years students from Strand Road, Limavady and Strabane campus who took part in the 2025 Story Sacks competition. The event was organised as Project Based Learning to assist students as they prepare resources and activities for the workplace. This year the standard of competition was excellent and the winners were Bumpus Jumpus Dinosaurumpus – created by Steve McLaughlin, Rhianna Deeney and Leah McShane from Limavady campus. Well done to everyone and thank you to our judges, Dr. Lynda Hegarty, Head of Faculty, NWRC, Brenda McKeag, Teaching and Learning Academy, NWRC, Simon Quigg, Library Manager, Central Library and Julie O’Loughlin, Principal, Model Primary School. Also a special mention to our Early Years staff across the campuses who prepared the students.

🎉Celebrating 10 years of Higher Level Apprenticeships 🎉   3rd-7th February is Northern Ireland Apprenticeship Week, and we will be hosting a series of events to showcase our Apprenticeship courses.   On Wednesday 5th February, we will hold an ‘Employers Higher Level Apprenticeship Coffee Morning’ aimed at new businesses becoming a HLA partner employer. The event with feature contributions from a panel of employers currently involved in the HLA programmes, as well as College students and staff, who will discuss the benefits available to local businesses in becoming a HLA partner employer.
