This fascinating series explores the history of country houses and their estates, told through the eyes of private owners. Earlier this week the first event in the series at Christie’s London focused on Radbourne Hall. This stunning Palladian house, built 1738-42, has been in the same family since the 12th century! With two major restorations, it boasts a fine collection of paintings by Joseph Wright of Derby. We recently collaborated with our partner Harewood House Trust, on a Festive Nyetimber Gourmet Dinner. Set in the iconic Harewood Gallery, guests dined amongst masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance under flickering candlelight, with the breathtaking eighteenth-century Gallery, magically dressed for the Christmas season. The Gallery epitomises Harewood’s elegant grandeur, and the space creates the most memorable of dining experiences.   The evening commenced with canapés served with Nyetimber Classic Cuvee Multi-Vintage. A bespoke, British-inspired three-course menu followed, using the finest locally sourced ingredients, expertly paired with Nyetimber Blanc de Blancs 2016, Nyetimber Rosé Multi-Vintage, and Nyetimber Cuvee Chérie Multi-Vintage.    #Nyetimber #EnglishSparklingWine #HarewoodHouse

Nyetimber’s Hannah Heerema, again Chaired Maggie's Centres Carol Concert. It was a truly magical evening held (this year) at the stunning St James’s Piccadilly, followed by a wonderful dinner at the Royal Automobile Club. Nyetimber’s sparkling reception complemented the festive atmosphere and helped to make the event a resounding success. To the delight of all on Piccadilly, guests were piped by The Pinstripe Highlanders between the two venues; an uplifting nod to Hannah’s Scottish heritage.   The evening featured a wonderful lineup of stars from stage, screen, broadcasting, academia, and the stratosphere! Including Tim Peake CMG, Stephen Fry, Katie Derham, Dominic West, Dame Maggie Aderin-Pocock DBE, Leia Zhu, Jamie MacDougall, Katie Marshall, The Wigfield Brass Ensemble, The Choir of St James’s Piccadilly and The Pinstripe Highlanders. Nyetimber was delighted to provide English Sparkling Wine for Christie's Classic Week Reception in Mayfair held earlier this week.    Hosted by the Directors of Christie’s and attended by over 250 guests, the event showcased remarkable works spanning centuries, including Sir Anthony Van Dyck's portrait of an Andalusian stallion, Pieter Brueghel II’s The Sermon of St. John the Baptist, and rare Rembrandt prints from The Sam Josefowitz Collection. Guests also had the opportunity to experience classic masterpieces, including Roman antiquities from the Mougins Museum of Classical Art.   It was an honour for Nyetimber to work with Christie’s at such a prestigious event, and we look forward to many more sparkling moments.   #Nyetimber #Christies #EnglishSparklingWine
