O’Brien had a fantastic day at the SAPCA Technical Meeting yesterday! 🎉 Stuart and Phil had the privilege of connecting with fellow industry professionals and exchanging insights on the latest trends and innovations in the sports surface industry. It was a busy day, buzzing with inspiring and informative discussions that left us all with plenty of food for thought. One of the highlights was the "Future Ready Mindset" session by Allister Frost. 🌟 His talk provided valuable perspectives on staying ahead in an ever-evolving industry, focusing on the mindset and strategies needed to embrace future challenges and opportunities. It's Men's Health Awareness Month, a time for raising awareness for physical and mental health in the UK, something we are also passionate about. Our industry is facing a mental health crisis, with construction workers 3.7 times more likely to commit suicide than any other industry. Suicide is the biggest cause of death for men under 35. This new bridge is a critical element in the restoration of the Chesterfield Canal for the The Chesterfield Canal Trust Ltd — the historic waterway that has been a significant part of the local landscape for centuries. The bridge will enhance connectivity for both pedestrians and cyclists, opening up new routes along the canal and making the area more accessible for the local community and visitors alike. With the enabling works package now nearing completion, we've laid the groundwork for the final phase of this ambitious project. Up next is the delivery of clay — scheduled for early next year — which will signal the start of the main construction works. This marks the culmination of months of dedication, planning, and effort by the entire team. Showcasing this project has been a fantastic experience, generating interest and excitement around the restoration of such a significant historical asset.
