Seeking Justice for Historical Abuse Victims This month at Chronicle Law, as well as the usual practice area news and updates we wish to draw your attention to important subject matters that see an increase in occurrence due to holiday festivities these include; drink and drug driving and domestic abuse. We thank the authors and law firms that are supporting us in bringing you content about these topics. The festive season is pictured as being a joyous time of year but often it can be challenging for many. Recent high-profile media reports have highlighted the long-lasting impacts of historical sexual abuse, reminding us of the importance of seeking justice and support. Molly Frost at Oakwood Solicitors Ltd shares insights on how victims of historical abuse can pursue justice and compensation through the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA). With a sensitive approach Oakwood ensures victims feel supported every step of the way. 📖 Read Molly Frost’s full article on our website to learn more about your rights and the claims process. https://lnkd.in/djPiuHmh #HistoricalAbuseClaims #SeekJustice #SupportForSurvivors #FestiveSeasonSupport #ChronicleLaw #OakwoodSolicitors

Grateful for an Inspiring Work Experience at Oakwood Solicitors! I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to complete a one-week work experience in the Industrial Disease Department at Oakwood Solicitors. It was a truly rewarding and educational experience that has left a lasting impression on me. Throughout the week, I had the chance to delve into reviewing medical records related to both military and non-military hearing loss cases, among other diverse matters. The scope of work was extensive and insightful, allowing me to better understand the legal intricacies of industrial disease claims. I also learned how to issue a claim, a process that has broadened my legal knowledge and strengthened my practical skills. What stood out to me the most, however, was the supportive and welcoming environment created by the entire team. From day one, I felt genuinely welcomed, and this warmth made the experience even more enriching. A heartfelt thanks to Abbie Keech for providing me with this fantastic opportunity, and to Natasha Hardy, Liam Hill , Asimah Ali and the entire team, whose guidance and encouragement throughout the week made a world of difference. Your support helped me navigate the tasks confidently and learn effectively. I also want to express my gratitude to the entire team at Oakwood Solicitors for being so approachable and fostering such a collaborative environment. The team’s kindness and willingness to share their knowledge not only enhanced my experience but also inspired me to aim higher in my journey toward a legal career. This week has been a pivotal moment in my final year as a law student, affirming my passion for law. I am looking forward to applying the invaluable skills I gained during this experience to future opportunities, and I hope to cross paths with the incredible professionals at Oakwood Solicitors again someday. Thank you once again to everyone at Oakwood Solicitors for making this experience so knowledgeable and memorable!
