According to the Club Safety and Compliance Report 2024/25, 72% of participants believe that some of their checks, audits, mandatory certificates, and training are not consistently up to date. While this marks a 6% improvement from last year, change is still needed, which raises the question: what are clubs doing differently to address this challenge and ensure better compliance for 2025?

Who would have thought our GCAE retreat in Paris would double as a winter getaway? The beautiful Dolce by Wyndham Versailles was the perfect snowy backdrop for a get together with our Nationals and Multi Course Owners to talk about CHANGE. The past two days were all about connection, learning from each other (because everyone knows something you don’t) and looking ahead. How do we navigate change in the world, the golf industry and within our organization? Together, we explored these questions and we had inspiring speakers to guide us in the right direction: Lodewijk Klootwijk spoke about the power of connectivity and the collective force. Gareth Macklin told us the uncomfortable thruth on the safety side. Sportmaverick Bartel Berkhout took us on an exhilarating ride into the future, opening our eyes and challenging us to think in radically new ways. Nathanaël Pietrzak-Swirc, CCM shared an open and honest story about lessons learned and how setbacks can spark new mindsets. To top it all off, we were warmly welcomed by Philippe Pilato at Le Golf National – a place with a story and a snowy twist this time around. We returned with ideas, with questions (some even more than answers 😉), but definitely with a renewed sense of purpose! This retreat doubles as a fresh start for GCAE: embracing change, thinking differently, and growing stronger together.
