🚨 Big Oil has treated our seas like a toxic dumping ground, and they’ve been getting away with it for decades. Not anymore. Our new map uses the industry’s own data to expose the cocktail of pollution wrecking our marine protected areas and harming wildlife. From lung lesions in bottlenose dolphins to liver damage in minke whales and higher levels of toxic chemicals in North Sea haddock: oil pollution harms our seas and the animals that call it home. Enough is enough. This is the smoking gun for a crime against our ocean. Expose it. Share it. Demand change. 🚨 Scientists are calling out the UK government for failing to protect our seas from bottom trawling! 20 top marine scientists have signed a letter, coordinated by Oceana UK, urging the UK government to ban this destructive fishing in marine protected areas. Currently, these areas are little more than lines on a map, as harmful fishing practices continue to wreak havoc on marine life. The UK has a choice: commit to real marine conservation or let destruction continue. 🧪 Read the letter: https://lnkd.in/eVMvW8Zr ✍️ Coverage by Steph Spyro: https://lnkd.in/eG_483Gk
