🚨 Big Oil has treated our seas like a toxic dumping ground, and they’ve been getting away with it for decades. Not anymore. Our new map uses the industry’s own data to expose the cocktail of pollution wrecking our marine protected areas and harming wildlife. Leading marine scientists are sending a clear message: destructive bottom-trawl fishing must be banned from marine protected areas. Partial protections won’t cut it. 🚨 Scientists are calling out the UK government for failing to protect our seas from bottom trawling! 20 top marine scientists have signed a letter, coordinated by Oceana UK, urging the UK government to ban this destructive fishing in marine protected areas. Currently, these areas are little more than lines on a map, as harmful fishing practices continue to wreak havoc on marine life.
