Massive kudos to our one-and-only, in-house logistics legends, who snagged a big win at the Supply Chain Excellence Awards this week! In just three years, they’ve scaled up to three bustling distribution centres, supporting hundreds of crew delivering thousands of pieces of green tech to homes across the UK - all fueled by that unmistakable Octopus customer obsession. When we installed solar on our home a while ago our motivation was self-consumption. We're set up on Octopus Outgoing export too but the export credit is a bonus rather than the prime reason for installing the system. Solar generation makes such a difference to our import bill that I'm happy to forego the export credit and gift it to those in need. Hence we've launched https://lnkd.in/eG6scuzn

As the UKs last coal fired power station coughed it's last black smokey breath, something big and pink, but overarchingly green 💚, sprang into life! Located on the edge of a former colliery, the truly amazing Octopus Energy training academy in Sheffield sets a new standard for skills training across the low carbon sector. Our tech enabled workshops and creative spaces provides the home base for our amazing LCT apprentices - and what a truly talented and inspiring group our first cohort are!! With a massive range of technologies covering Solar PV, Energy Storage, EV and of course ASHP we're forging new routes to success as Octopus Energy Services drive forward in the quest to decarbonise UK homes! Where once energy was pulled from the ground, comes a place where the skills needed to harness the greenest forms of energy! A truly epic team effort from across all areas of the business to bring the vision to life in only a few short months. Are we finished??? ... No way, we're just getting started!
