Decarbonizing daily construction is crucial for achieving our nation's #NetZero goals. OEG Genista is thrilled to partner with Dynapac and FM Conway Ltd by delivering reliable on-site charging for their state-of-the-art electric pavers and rollers. No more base returns for recharging – we power your plant machinery and even your EV anywhere.
Our Surfacing and Term Maintenance teams hit an electrifying milestone this month, conducting an all-electric scheme in London Borough of Merton that featured the highest amount of electric plant ever used on a UK public highways scheme. Taking place on Marian Road in the southwest London borough, the teams successfully delivered a complete resurfacing of the road and footways using a range of innovative tools, and plant supplied by construction partners, SANY Group and Dynapac. The project featured the only electric planer of its kind in the world, a zero-emission electric paver that helped reduce noise by 80%, as well as a fully electric roller, compaction plate, and disc cutter. Plus, all our electricity on site was supplied from renewable sources, providing a further carbon saving to our works. We even had our Site Supervisor using a brand-new electric car, to support our target of 55% of our <1.5t fleet to be electric by March 2025, and helping us to become a greener business across our entire operations. This now builds on previous electric trials we’ve delivered across the capital and marks a significant step as we continue to collaborate with our clients on achieving our shared net zero goals. A huge well done to everyone involved in the success of this project, and in making history as our business continues its way along the ‘electric avenue’. #greatpeoplegreatwork #merton #londonboroughofmerton #surfacing #dynapac #sany
