If your access control is reliant on RFID, then you need to read this. Access control has advanced a lot over the years, but so too has the risk of RFID cloning. Cloning occurs in two main ways: Proximity reading - where the attack ensures they are close to the target RFID token with a custom-built reader Eavesdropping - where the attacker places a reader close to the authentic RFID reader and intercepts the transmissions.
