Six climate-conscious Hull schools have received vital funding to accelerate their drive to net zero. 🌏 Working with Hull City Council, Our Climate Changemakers programme has awarded at least £10,000 to each of the schools, to help them accurately measure and reduce their carbon footprint. 📉 The six schools to receive funding are... 🩶 The Boulevard Academy 🩶 Kelvin Hall School 🩶 Malet Lambert 🩶 The Marvell College 🩶 Newland School for Girls 🩶 Sirius Academy West Funding was provided jointly by Reckitt and Hull City Council, a Founding Partner of the campaign. As part of the same project, five student-led climate initiatives have also received funding. Those projects range from rainwater harvesting and recycling to biodiversity enhancement. Net Zero campaign has enabled us to collaborate with like-minded businesses and groups working towards a more sustainable future." 🗣️ Willerby Ltd has published its second annual Sustainability Report. 🗞️ The holiday home manufacturer has embarked on an ambitious carbon reduction and sustainability strategy. The business, one of Hull's largest employers, achieved an overall emissions reduction of just over 10% from 2022 to 2023. Willerby also announced 94% of its total waste in the 2023 financial year was reused, recycled or converted to energy.
