Oper8 Global EMEA have just completed integrated systems testing (IST) for one of our client’s high-performance computing (HPC) data centres, using our own Simul8r RM6 load banks. Each Simul8r is capable of delivering a 6KW simulated server load, and they can be switched in 1 and 2KW steps to give greater control within the rack. ISTs push the data centre to its design limits in terms of capacity, maintainability, and fault tolerance. Using our Simul8rs is the perfect way to test the readiness, stability and safety of your server environments, especially for running AI workloads and applications in HPC facilities. Our Global CTO Simon Gardner and APJ SVP Simon Naylor had a very productive partnership meeting with Ki-Jung Choi, Co-CEO of Daton Corporation at Data Centre World Asia 2024 last week. Daton was recently selected as a R&D support target by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Republic of Korea and will receive KRW 1.2 billion (approx. USD 0.9 million) in funding over the next three years for AI-based abnormality prediction and monitoring and integrated management solutions specialised for data centres. The potential applications for Daton's technology are very exciting and we look forward to collaborating with Daton on some great upcoming projects in South Korea and further afield.
