#ORR provides an update on its maiden drilling programme at the Mbe #gold project in Cameroon. The first diamond drill hole, MBDD001, has been completed for 358m. The drill core is being prepared and the samples will shortly be sent for analysis, with results expected in Q1-2025. Trenching at MB01-S identified high-grade gold mineralisation, and drilling to date has encountered amphibolite-gneiss host rocks, intruded by felsic porphyries, correlating well with the lithologies identified during the trenching programme.

#ORR provides an update on its Bibemi #gold project in Cameroon, where results have been returned for a further 13 drill holes, 7 at BZ1-MRE and 6 at BZ1-NE. A total of 5,024m has now been drilled in 43 holes in the ongoing Phase 5 programme. Highlights at BZ1-MRE include 2m at 8.57g/t Au including 1m at 15.90g/t Au, 1m at 7.01g/t Au, 1.1m at 4.84g/t Au and 2m at 2.38g/t Au (BBDD075), and 4.6m at 0.52g/t Au (BBDD077). Highlights at BZ1-NE include 1m at 1.05g/t Au (BBDD082), and 1m at 1.71g/t Au (BBDD084). The results provide scope for resource expansion outside of the current wireframes at BZ1-MRE and have confirmed the continuation of gold mineralisation along strike and at depth. A further 10 infill holes are planned at this target. Results for a further 8 holes at BZ1-NE are awaited, and two holes are in the process of being relocated. Drilling has commenced at a third target, BZ1-SW. Completion of the Phase 5 drilling programme is anticipated in Q1-2025.

Congratulations to Sandrine Bidjogo Fouda for completing her diploma in mining and geological engineering from the University of Ngaoundéré. She has subsequently joined our team, becoming the third student that #ORR has supported and recruited from Cameroon universities. Sandrine’s third year project was supported by #ORR and focussed on the role of duplicates in the quality control of soil samples from our Pokor #gold licence within the CLP.
