We are very pleased to announce on behalf of Santander that detailed planning consent has now been acheived for the full refurbishment of 301 St Vincent Street, their 308,000sqft office building in the city centre of Glasgow. This will provide a highly energy and carbon efficient office building which will boast over 40,000sqft of landscaped terraces and circa 50,000sqft of internal amenity space for the benefit of the tenants. No other building in Glasgow city centre can provide this level of amenity. It also provides a 45% carbon saving over an equivalent new build office development. What a privilege to attend the Ribbon Cutting for JPMorgan’s new Technology Center in Glasgow yesterday. Osborne and Company acquired this amazing site speculatively just over 8-years ago. The acquisition was led by Conor Osborne and in partnership with my friend Jim Kelly of Corbally Group. Will Hean led on legals and Gerry Whyte, Jason Cunningham and Scott Easton worked tirelessly over the last 3-years to make this incredible building. I and all those mentioned are extremely proud of what’s been achieved and we thank our partners at JPMorgan for their steadfast friendship and support. The journey hasn’t always been easy but I think we can say that the destination was worth it.
